Science

Students in science classes use iPad devices for project based learning, applying their knowledge gained in class to explore new research of real world problems. Having access to a variety of apps allows students to have agency in their learning, and choose the format that works best for them. This opens windows of creativity outside of the traditional classroom experience.

The first two projects below explore Genetic Engineering, in which students choose a related area of research, lean the science behind it, and share how it benefits the world. The third is a cell diagram project, in which students are asked to identify the structure and function of twelve different parts of a plant or animal cell. For both of these projects, students choose whatever method they prefer to share their learning using iPad devices.
