Math

In the mathematics department, we value critical thinking, problem solving, and innovation. We challenge our students to think in multiple ways, and encourage them to understand why math works the way that it does. We also push them to be curious, seeking to learn more about a given topic. Apple technology, such as iPads, has allowed our department to bring math to a new level. We are able to create meaningful visuals for our students and work with them on creative outlets of their knowlege. Below are several examples of student work that highlight this process.

An Algebra II video project where students had to demonstrate their knowledge of the unit in a creative way.

An Algebra II project where students needed to create a real life example of a parabola, and then analyze it using quadratic skills.

An algebra project where students used the Desmos graphing calculator to create and analyze artwork.
